DIY A Beautiful Vintage Felt Letter Board

October 20, 2016

felt letter board diy made with iron on letters
There's no denying that yesterday's letter board is having a big moment in today's modern home. I love the clean look of words on a beautiful board. To be able to look up and see a positive affirmation on your wall is a nice feeling!

I found a simple way to make this beautiful letterboard with just a few  items.
1. wooden frame 2. iron on letters 3. wool felt and 4. fabric glue
iron on letters for a letterboard diy
I used wool felt as a base and used modern metallic gold iron on letters and a wooden frame to put this felt letter board wall hanging together. I love this combination of textures: wood, metallic thread and warm wool felt. Keep in mind that whatever colors and textures you use, make sure to see how they would look together so each material compliments the other material.
You can glue on the wool felt to the picture frame cardboard. I took out the glass from this frame so you can see the words better. For the letters I iron them onto the felt before gluing on the felt to the frame backing.
