I'm Bored Busy Bag: DIY Old Fashion Slingshot

March 24, 2016

busy bag for a 8 year old boy

What's in your kids bag? This week we took inspiration from Conn & Hal Iggulden's "The Dangerous Book for Boys" and set off for some old-fashion fun in the woods.

We brought along a Swiss army knife, latex tubing and a carpenter pencil and stumbled upon the perfect wishbone stick. Of course you don't come across sticks like this very often. So what's a kid to do?

Keep it of course. And turn it into a slingshot.

Sticks, trees and slingshots - all this created the perfect opportunity for the kids and I to bond over an afternoon of dangerous little adventures.
